Sometimes the success of a system has less to do with the process itself and more to do with whether people share a common understanding of what that system is meant to accomplish. In this article, I share a story from an employer brand project—and what a simple act of kindness involving a homemade pie revealed about the power of building a shared pool of meaning inside organizations.
